Today was my first day of class in the 2+2 program through TTU. I really enjoyed the first day and I look forward to all the experiences that I will have in this program. My favorite part of the day was when the class got to decorate the classroom. I thought it was a great idea to get the class involved in the calender project. I can see how it would work well in an elementary classroom. Surrounding students with words they will use throughout the year is a great idea. The word wall just makes so much sense. Reading and writing are so important. It seems to me like it would be impossible to function in society without the two. Overall, I am looking forward to this semester and all the knowledge of literacy that I will obtain through this course.
